For years I have endured the torture that is the Nigerian Home video Industry, i do not give a fig, what any1 has to say about not being patriotic about our home video industry, cos it sucks end off.
Am stomped each time i hear that, 9ja has the 4th or 5th largest film industry in the world, How on earth is it an industry? Just because one individual actor, director , producer makes 50 movies within the year and has the nerve to smile about it. I have seen better acting in primary school classes than i have seen on most home videos and believe me, i have sat through quite a few and i swear i will shoot any1 who tells me that, it is intellectually stimulating or morally educational.
Whenever a producer actually takes the time(cos that is what it takes, conscientious time) to produce a movie, it is a work of art, yeah the bottom line is profit, but aside from the initial sale it makes when any home video comes out. I challenge any Nigerian, to present a VCD of a home video released 4 or 5 years ago, do any1 of you remember any memorable home video, that goes that far back?, Guess not that's because the production quality of said home videos were so bad that they could not stand the test of time, folks Art transcends time, so get familiar with the truth.
